Our Technology

Our TechnologyAt Elite Smiles Dental, we strive for perfection. We believe all of our patients should receive the best dental care available. That is why we use a variety of state-of-the-art devices in our practice. Our investment in advanced technology allows us to provide a high level of accuracy, precision, and efficiency!

How Is Technology Used in Your Office?

We use a variety of devices to treat and diagnose our patients, such as lasers, digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, jet polishers, and UV devices. Many of the devices we use make it possible to pinpoint potential dental problems and diseases before they have time to develop. This technology can also make treatment more comfortable and streamlined, as compared to traditional, more invasive options.

At Elite Smiles Dental, our technology-based treatments include:

· Digital x-rays
· Lasers and soft tissue lasers
· Digital intraoral cameras
· Digital caries detection
· Oral cancer screening
· Electronic Apex Locator
· Ultra-quiet electric handpieces
· Noise-canceling headphones
· Wi-Fi

How Are Lasers Used?

Lasers make treatment less painful, less invasive, and more precise. Often, our doctors can use a laser, such as the Biolase Waterlase MD Turbo, to perform root canals without the need for a drill. Lasers lead to less bleeding and reduced tissue loss. Our doctors also use soft tissue lasers to treat periodontal (gum) disease. Periodontal surgeries done with soft tissue lasers decrease your risk of infection, lead to faster healing times, are less painful, and are more efficient overall.

How Can Technology Help You Find Oral Diseases?

With advanced dental technology such as x-rays and intraoral cameras, our doctors can look for problems they might not otherwise be able to see. X-rays are used to peer below the surface of your tissue. With an x-ray, our doctors can examine your jaw bone and teeth to check for signs of decay, fractures, or infection. When caught early, many dental problems can be easily treated.

To see in the back of your mouth, our doctors may use an intraoral camera. With this technology, we can see detailed images of your teeth, gums, and mouth. This helps us check hard-to-see areas of your mouth for signs of disease. This technology is also used to take high-quality images of your teeth for crowns, inlays, onlays, and fillings. Modern technology has made strides in detecting cancer. With intraoral cameras, we can check for signs of infection, inflammation, or discoloration. Our doctors can also use a special light to check for signs of dark, cancerous tissue. This technology helps us catch oral cancer before it spreads.
